SONO NATO A GREVE IN CHIANTI (FIRENZE) IL 19
OTTOBRE 1968, SONO UN PIANISTA , pianofortista come mi piace
definirmi, dall'eta' di 8 anni, quando ho iniziato a metter
le mani sul pianoforte che avevamo in casa, son sempre stato
molto curioso di esplorare: SUONI, RUMORI, RITMI, MELODIE e
tutto cio' che questo strumento con tasti bianchi e neri, acustico
o elettrico che sia, potesse offrirmi. Negl'anni ho suonato
e suono tutt'ora molte musiche con molti musicisti ,ho amato
tutte le musiche che ho suonato perche' da sempre, suono solamente
le musiche che amo. E ogni anno che passa faccio molti sacrifici
personali per continuare a vivere di musica, perche' sento che
la musica e' dentro di me e stara' con me fino a che vivro'.
Esclusa la fusion, la tecno e la house music, la musica irlandese
ed il country sono piu' o meno innamorato di tutta la musica,
con delle preferenze per il jazz, il blues, il funk, il reggae,
il dub, la musica classica da camera, il rhythm'n blues, il
rap, l'hip-hop, l'elettronica, il lounge e molti altre musiche
che sicuramente al momento mi sfuggono. Lo strumento che sto
suonando adesso, la mia natura, la mia pelle e' il piano elettrico
fender rhodes probabilmente lo e' sempre stato, ma c'ho messo
diverso tempo per scoprirlo, anche se non disdegno di suonare
il piano acustico, l'organo e alcune tastiere con suoni soprattutto
vintage.
DAL 1998 ho deciso di fare una mia etichetta (few notes record)
e di iniziare ad autoprodurre artisticamente ed esecutivamente
la mia musica,perche' sono assolutamente convinto che le idee,
le note e le dita debbano sempre rimanere libere (se dessi retta
all'istinto pubblicherei un cd ogni 3-4 mesi,visto che scrivo
molta musica di varia natura). Amo il buon cibo, gli animali,
la natura (soprattutto il bosco), la montagna piu' del mare,
il sigaro toscano, la birra guinness, il tortello mugellano
e tutti coloro che mi fanno ridere. La mia musica e' influenzata
da: ogni suono, colore, persona, animale, viaggio, pensiero,
parola, cibo e chissa' da quant'altro che dovro' ancora vedere,
imparare e sognare. Volendo vivere di musica, suono jazz con
molti musicisti e sempre diversi, e questo lo penso come un
arricchimento costante, in un importante ristorante fiorentino
al Ponte Vecchio, "Golden View Open Bar" che coniuga

Mi fa piacere pensare che tutte le persone (soprattutto stranieri)
che sono a cena lì si portano via con se un pezzetto
di me e della mia anima che metto nella musica che sto suonando.
Un mio grande desiderio è quello di non suonare più
io la musica che scrivo e scriverò, non perchè
non ami farlo anzi ho bisogno di suonare come dell'ossigeno
per respirare, ma aver il piacere di ascoltar quello che traduco
in musica suonato da altri musicisti, è un sogno e spero
di realizzarlo molto prima del momento in cui saran le mie dita
a non permettermelo più.

I was born in Greve in Chianti (Florence) on October, the
19th, 1968. I'm a pianist, "pianofortist", as I
like to define myself, from the age of 8, when I started to
touch the piano my family had. I always have been courious
to explore:
sounds, rumours, rythms, melodies and everything that this
instrument with black and white keys (both acoustic and electric)
could offer to me.
During the years I played (and still play) with many musicians,
and I loved everything that I played, because I play only
the music that I love. With the passing of the years I do
a lot of personal sacrifices to continue living playing music,
because I feel it will be always with me for all my life.
Except for fusion, techno, house music, country and irish
music, I love all of it, with a special taste for jazz, blues,
funk, reggae, dub, chamber music, rythm'n blues, rap, hip-hop,
electro, lounge and many more styles.
The instrument I'm really enjoying playing now it's the electric
piano Fender Rhodes, and maybe it's always been my very own
instrument, but I took a lot of time to discover it. On the
other hand, I do not dislike to play the acoustic piano, the
organ and lot of keyboards with vintage sounds.
Since 1998 I created my own label (Few Notes Records) and
I started to cure both the artistic and the executive production
of my music,'cause I believe that ideas, notes and fingers
should be always free (if I'd listen only to my instinct I'd
publish a cd every 3/4 months, because I'm always occupied
in writing a lot of music).
I love good food, animals, nature (especially woods), mountain
more than sea, tuscan cigar, guinness beer, the "mugellano
tortello" and everyone who makes me laugh.
Living as a musician, I play jazz wiht a lot of different
players, living this experience as a constant growth for me.
I play at an important restaurant in Florence, near Ponte
Vecchio: the "Golden View Open Bar", which mix high

I'd like to think that people (even the foreign people) that
are dining there are
taking away with them a little bit of me and a little bit
of the soul I'm using to play.
A big dream of mine is to play no more the music I write now
and in the future, not because I don't love to do it (I have
the need to do it, as I need oxygen to breathe), but to have
the pleasure to hear what I write played by other musicians.
It's a dream that I hope to realize much before the moment
when my fingers won't allow me to play.
